Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 256, glad you are here

The only requirements for your son to join our energetic cub pack are:

1) to be a 1st Grader (at least six years old) through to a 5th Grader. After 5th Grade your son can transition to our flourishing Scout Troop.

2) to have completed the Registration and other forms and paid the registration fee.

The only requirement from you (the parent/guardian/adultpartner) is that you give enough of your time to ensure he gets to and from meetings safely and he completes the “at home” parts of his learning projects.

Oftentimes a pack’s calendar year runs from September (just before the new school year start) to May (end of school year). We however run a complete twelve months through to the end of August which gives the Cub Scout an extended opportunity to earn belt loops, arrow points and other award badges such as the Outdoor Activity Award and the Summertime Pack Award.

Probably the best way to become familiar and comfortable with what Cub Scouting is about is to visit a Pack Meeting, so please accept our invitation. We look forward to meeting you.

(Click on the Aldersgate United Methodist Church link at top right of this page and when the web page loads click on the Google map link at the very topmost left hand corner. You will see that the Church is situated on the corner of Shannon Drive and Edwards Road. If you are facing the Church from Edwards Road, the house immediately to the left (shared parking lot) is where the Pack meetings are held).

Just a reminder, although the Pack receives its charter from the aforementioned Church you do not have to be a member of this Church or any particular School, zip code etc. etc. to join the Pack.

Mr. Christian Tetsch has kindly offered, on March 13th,  the use of his extensive workshop to parents and their cub scout(s) for cutting their car designs from the wood block.
